Movie watching target

After narrowly missing my movie watching target last year i promised myself that i will reach the magic figure of 52 no matter what happens. And am quite happy that it is going quite comfortably right now. With week no. 30 coming to an end my tally stands at 36.

So if everything goes according to the script i should have reached the magic figure by October end. The only assumption here is that both bollywood and hollywood will have at least average watchable movies lined up . By average and watchable i mean one should not feel like wasting 150 bucks after 2 hours in the theater.

I have made an attempt to rate the hindi and english movies i have seen from January till date on the basis of the following criteria:

• Entertaining
• Good Story
• Great performances

English:

1. The Dark Knight
2. Kung Fu Panda
3. Ironman
4. Horton Hears a Who
5. Juno

Hindi:

1. Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na
2. Mithya
3. Aamir

I don't think i can rank top 5 hindi movies looking at the crappy standards which we have seen till now. I sincerely hope things improve from now on.
